The red Pinot Noir Riserva is the fruit of the experience of one of South Tyrol's most famous wineries in producing great wines. The vineyards are cultivated in the famous Mazzon cru, a beautiful sunny plateau at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level near Egna. The cool climate and good temperature fluctuations create optimal conditions for the noble Burgundy grape variety. The grapes come from a selection from an old vineyard, which produces low yields high quality clusters with elegant and concentrated aromas. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with classic maceration on the skins. The wine matures for one year in oak barrels, ¼ new and another 8 months in large barrels. It completes ageing with a few months in the bottle before release.

Gottardi's Pinot Noir Riserva Mazzon wine is the red that best tells the story of the terroir of this historic Alto Adige cru.
