Ludi Velenosi 2018

Ludi is a red wine from the Marche region that was born from the desire to experiment, almost to "play" - hence the name given to the label - of the Velenosi winery. Indeed, one must never forget the link that unites wine, and its consumption, to the most pleasant and joyous occasions. Obviously, however, in order to give rise to a centred and flawless product, one must put oneself on the line with seriousness, just as Velenosi has done, making a blend with a strong character, where an expressive and incisive sip dominates, accompanied by warm scents that involve the nose with a generous embrace. A bottle that will leave you speechless.

This Velenosi-branded Ludi comes from a blend where, alongside Montepulciano, which is present in the final blend with 85 percent, we also find two international grape varieties that strongly complement each other: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The plants of these varieties grow with the spurred cordon system in soils located 200-250 meters above sea level, sinking their roots into predominantly clay and limestone subsoil. The berries, once harvested, macerate for 28 days, fermenting in steel containers. This is followed by the ageing phase, carried out in new barriques for a period of at least 18 months, at the end of which blending, bottling and marketing take place.

Ludi red wine from the Velenosi winery announces itself to the eye with a hue reminiscent of ruby, concentrated and deep. The scents that envelop the nose are directed towards fruity notes, enhanced by touches of graphite and more balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied and energetic, with a full and rounded, well-balanced sip. A label that garners unanimous approval from all the major Italian wine guides.
