Noudon saatavuutta ei voitu ladata
Tenuta Fuligni's Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is the most stately and articulate expression of this traditionally based winery located on the northeastern slope of the Montalcino area. The Riserva is produced exclusively in the best vintages through a selection of grapes from the estate's oldest vineyards. The Sangiovese Grosso clusters are always vinified separately in relation to the type of soil and exposure of the parcel of origin, and only later are the wines blended according to their characteristics and the label for which they are intended.
Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is made with only Sangiovese Grosso grown on soils rich in marl in some plots and clay and tuff in others. The altitude reaches up to 450 meters above sea level, and the vines are more than 40 years old. Manual harvesting is accompanied by strict double sorting of the grapes, which are then mashed in stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation in contact with the skins and at a controlled temperature. Once the complete course of malolactic fermentation is also finished, the mass is racked into large 20- and 30-hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels for the long ageing of about 42 months. This is followed by adequate bottle rest before the final release.
In the glass, the Brunello di Montalcino Fuligni Riserva exhibits a luminous garnet-red guise with delicate ruby hints. The broad, rich and deep olfactory mosaic is composed of suggestions of ripe cherry, berries, thyme, bay leaf, liquorice, potpourri, leather and dark spices. The palate stands out for elegance, power, complexity, persistence, brilliant freshness, and refined tannic texture.
